Leaders from across the commonwealth gathered at Penn State Harrisburg today discussing innovation in Pennsylvania.
The meeting comes as a new study from the Brookings Report found Pennsylvania is lagging behind other states when it comes to innovation, missing out on economic and job growth.
"We used to be up midpoint or a little bit above. But that's slowed down and obviously innovation and investment and entrepreneurial activity's drive new companies and drives economic growth," says David Black of Harrisburg Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Black says innovation and growth was on the rise in Pennsylvania before the recession but has since dropped off.
